Minami-izu Town Tourism Association Special Joint Project

This tour is a special program created through a “three-way partnership” between the Minami-izu Town Tourism Association, the Mikomoto Island Divers Association, and local accommodation facilities.

Combining the expertise of the tourism association, diving shops intimately familiar with Mikomoto Island, and lodgings providing ultimate relaxation. We welcome you with ” Omotenashi “Japanese hospitality, where you can relax with hot springs and fine cuisine after your dives.

Schedule ( 4 Days / 3 Nights )

1 PM Meet at Izukyu Shimoda sta. (ODORIKO No. 9 arriving 14:42 recommended).
Transfer to accommodation (approx. 20 min). Mikomoto Island Diving Guidance (Minamiizu Shark Studies Program) after check-in.

Mikomoto Island Diving: Requirements & Notes

*Our Safety Guidelines standards apply when using our diving boats”Kaiyusha”. Please review carefully.

■ Dive Experience & Gap Regulations

30 to 99 dives Within 6 months
100+ dives Within 1 year
100+ dives Aged 60+ diving Mikomoto for the first time Within 6 months

*Refers to the time since your last dive.

■ Non-eligible Participants

  • Aged 60+ with fewer than 100 dives diving Mikomoto for the first time.
  • Aged 70+ diving Mikomoto for the first time.
  • Those who are pregnant or may be pregnant.

■ Required Documents & Consultation

  • Aged 60+ : A medical certificate signed by a doctor is required.
  • Under 60 : Required if you have a relevant medical history.
  • Prior Consultation : Required for those with visual, hearing, or walking impairments, or chronic illnesses.

*If diving is cancelled due to sea/weather conditions, an alternative program or a refund for the diving portion will be provided.
